Apple Butter Boiled Peanuts

My Apple Butter Boiled Peanuts recipe is very simple to prepared for a quick snack or appetizer.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lbs raw shelled peanuts
  • pin of salt for taste
  • 2 tbsp apple butter
  • 1 gallon water (add more later as needed)

Instructions
 

  • Washed 1lb raw peanuts
  • On high heat, combine ingredients in a pot and cover - water, salt and peanuts
  • Bring to Boil for 1hr and 30 mins
  • Remaining 30 mins of boiling, taste peanuts, and add salt as needed
  • Boil and cook to desired consistency. Remove from heat and cool 15 mins
  • Drain the water, un-shell the peanuts
  • Dip boiled peanuts with apple butter and served.

Notes

  • Soak peanuts in water overnight for a quicker cooking time.
