This warm, soft and buttery Liberian corn bread can be served for breakfast dessert or snack on a cold Fall day

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Flour, sifted
  • 2 cup Corn Meal
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • cup Milk
  • a dash of Salt

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar well
  • Add eggs ad beat well
  • Mix flour, corn meal, baking powder, salt, nutmeg
  • Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternately with milk
  • Bake at 350° degrees about 50 minutes.
  • Golden brown, cut, spread with butter and served
